The CERCS research center at Georgia Tech conducts research in the three general domains of Enterprise, High Performance/Grid, and Embedded/Real-time Computing, covering technical areas like computer architecture, networks and operating systems, software systems/methods and compilers including secure systems, distributed and parallel computing, and similar domains.
For Spring 2005, CERCS is sponsoring a Best Class Project award:
Any student or group of students undertaking an extended class project that addresses the three above areas of interest to CERCS is eligible to compete for Best Class Project for Spring 2005. The intent is to award students for a high degree of innovation and risk, for projects undertaken as part of the requirements of regular classes. Sample classes offering such project options in the College of Computing include CS 6210, 6230, 6235, Advanced Internet Application Development, and others. Similar options exist in classes in ECE. The award process will be as follows:
We anticipate making at least two awards in Spring 2005, of $500 each for the winning project teams. Any questions about project suitability may be directed to schwan@cc.gatech.edu.
