Hotel Information
The headquarters hotel of FTDCS 2004 is the Sheraton Suzhou Hotel, located
within the center of the city (map of hotel location) Suzhou, Jiangsu
Province, China. The hotel features 328 rooms and suites, 260 superior and
deluxe rooms, equipped with the most modern facilities and amenities, as
well as comfortably furnished long stay suites with kitchens.
There will be bus transportation for workshop participants and
accompanying
persons from the hotel to Soochow University, where the technical
sessions,
breakfasts and lunches, will be held.
Hotel Reservations:
The workshop special room daily rate is US$110 (single or double),
including
service charge, no breakfast. The special rate is available only to the
workshop participants who have completed their hotel reservations before
April 20, 2004. After this date, the room rate will be at a higher rate.

a

Local Transportation:
Hotel limousine, taxi and minibus are available between the Sheraton Suzhou
Hotel and Shanghai's Hong Qia International Airport and Pudong International Airport, as well as to the cities
Shanghai, Wuxi and Nanjing.
From Shanghai Pudong International Airport, the taxi fare to Sheraton Hotel is
approximately the equivalent of US$60. The workshop local committee will
arrange pick-up of workshop participants and accompanying persons at the
airport to Sheraton Hotel in Suzhou at noon and 5:00pm on May 25. For detailed

From Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, the taxi fare to Sheraton Hotel
is approximately the equivalent of US$30.
Additional Workshop Information
Workshop Location:
All technical activities of the workshop will be held in Soochow University,
Suzhou. There will be special bus for workshop participants from the hotel to
the university.
Weather:
Weather in Suzhou vicinity in late May and early June is normally sunny and
temperature is in the range of 25 to 30 degrees C ( 77-86 degrees F).
