Visa Information

Check your travel agents to find out whether you will need to have visa to enter China. If you need to apply for visa, it should be very easy to apply for a tourist visa to Suzhou (and other places you plan to tour in China during this trip) from Chinese Embassy or through your travel agency. In case you need an invitation letter to apply for a business visa to attend the workshop, you will need the workshop chair Professor Boawen Xu to send you an invitation letter for you to participate in the workshop. To receive the invitation letter from Professor Xu, you need to send him an request through e-mail at bwxu@seu.edu.cn stating your purpose of visit "For participation in the 10th IEEE Workshop on Future Trends of Distributed Computing Systems, May 26 - 28, 2004 in Suzhou, China". You must include the following information: your full name, passport number, country, gender, affiliation, and mailing address. Your request should be received by Professor Xu before April 10, 2004 so that you will have enough time to receive the invitation letter for your visa application.
