VEE'15 Student and Junior Faculty Travel Awards

With support from SIGOS and industry sponsorships, VEE’15 will offer several travel awards for graduate students or junior faculty to attend the conference. The award can be applied toward covering air travel, hotel accommodations and early registration fees.

SIGPLAN Student Members, please consider applying for travel assistance through SIGPLAN at: http://www.sigplan.org/PAC/

Important Dates

Travel award applications due: Feb 5, 2015
Travel award announcements: Feb 10, 2015

Important

  • If the applicant's decision to attend the conference solely depends on the travel award, the applicant is advised to wait for the award notification prior to making any final travel arrangements.
  • Awardees will receive the award funds as reimbursement for costs incurred while attending the conference, up to the award-specified amount. Awardees should plan to be able to cover those expenses themselves, and submit receipts for reimbursement after the conference.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a travel award, the applicants must be enrolled as a full time student in a graduate or post-graduate program at the time of the conference or must have a full time position (academic or research) at an academic institution. It is not required that applicants be authors of an accepted paper, however their research area must be aligned with the technical topics covered by VEE. The award recipients must attend VEE’15 in order to receive the award.
